The designer chose an enchating apartment suite at The London Hotel in NYC for the first preview, for press and buyers only, of his latest collection.

It is THE SOCIAL NETWORK COLLECTION and it is dedicated to all Peter’s fans.

After the great success of 2011, once again this event is set in the enchanting venue of a Fendi’s family palace in the heart of Rome.

Many famous actors and designers took part at this noble initiative, giving their own very special Christmas tree for charity. 

Peter Langner’s tree is an interpretation of a very characteristic pattern of one of his most famous gowns, ”Zaza“.

It is made of many handworked silk faille stripes, cut in a zig zag style and enriched with a myriad of handsewed Swarovski beadings, crystals and drops.

The inauguration, on Thursday December 6th at 7PM, will be reserved to press and media.

All people who would like to contribute or make a donation can visit the venue in the next days. The exhibition will be indeed open to public from December 7th to 13th, from 11AM to 8PM.

The money raised from the event will be donated to victims of the earthquake that last May 20th ravaged the Italian Region of Emilia Romagna, seriously hitting its population, landscape and architecture.

Teatro Borgatti at Cento, grievously hit by the earthquake of last May 20th 2012. 

The event will contribute to give a strong support to Emilian people, thanks to the fund for the reconstruction of artistic goods for the restauration of Teatro Borgatti in Cento and for F 4 D- Fashion for Development – part of ONU, the association promoted by Franca Sozzani, who will be side by side with Sergio Valente giving him her precious support.

Last April 16th, his father Luiz arrived with his wife at Mr. Langner’s atelier at Rome periphery, directly from Brazil.

Mr Langner attended them personaly with a special attention.

They were looking for a dress for a 15 years old party of their daughter.

Mr. Langner suggested them a very special dress, Aulenti (a tribute to the famous Italian architect). They were such enthusiastic at the idea and they bought the dress.

It was a great success!

These are the the words of Romeo as he declares his unconditional love to his beloved Juliet in one of the most dramatic play ever.

The famous Italian actress Stefania Rocca started from these words to tell us something really interesting about violence against women in her 9 minutes’ short “OSA” – “Dare!” -  which is dedicated to ActionAid.

After many centuries, the leading role is once again the right to choose who to love without restraint. But this time, instead of two young guys who go against their families, it is family itself who try to dictate a forced marriage to a young girl who always dreamt of being the only owner of her heart.

“OSA” tells about a young bride who, inspired from a phrase of the play “Romeo and Juliet”, realizes that her destiny must not be necessarily decided by her parents. At first she is doubtful, she is not sure to dare, to go against her family, against impositions and convention.
Only when she feels more confident and courageous, she’ll meet many other women like her. And she definitely realizes not be alone!

Ariana had an extra special experience searching for her wedding gown, she was traveling for business with her father to London.

She magically found Brown’s Bride and made an appointment and was taken with the warm staff and beautiful shoppe. The first dress that Ariana saw on the rack was Puccini.

She said wow, then wow again two more times, the salesgirl was amazed, saying all three dresses you’ve selected are by the same designer, she went on to mention Peter’s couture background, attention to detail and handmade quality.

Ariana had an eye for Peter’s style and felt taken back in time appreciating the fine workmanship but loving how clean and modern it all felt. Ariana tried on the Puccini first and came out of the fitting room looked at her father seeing him in tears and he told her it was the one before she even took a look in the mirror.

The sales team knew it was special, Peter had brought his only sample of the dress over on his last visit and they wouldn’t let him take it back. This was the first version of Puccini and didn’t even have a zipper yet.

After knowing she found the dress Ariana was ecstatic and didn’t know things would get even better. The sales team asked her when they were leaving London and she said later that evening, they said it is too serendipitous…
The designer himself would have been in from Rome at their shoppe for a press conference, so they said “please, come back! So he can see Ariana in this dress”.
So Ariana and her father finished all their business and came back to the shoppe to meet Peter.

They were immediately taken with his expertise and vision, Ariana mentioned being a jewelry designer and wanting to add custom details to the gown etc. Peter said: “Where will you do your fitting? If you come to Rome we would be glad to show you our studio and customize your gown and accessories for you”.

This was straight out of fairytale, Browns was coordinating dates for the fitting in Rome, Ariana woke up to a voicemail saying:  “we finally got in touch with Peter and the best date for your fitting is the Tenth of February!”.

Ariana got the chills, this was her late mother’s birthday!
Ariana knew that her mom had a hand in making this magical experience for her because she couldn’t be there with her to choose her wedding dress.

Ariana took the trip of a lifetime to Rome with her father and for the first time since her mother’s passing she felt the day had special meaning and purpose.
Her experience in Rome was just perfect, she got to visit Peter’s Shoppe and studio, meet his incredible team and see his operation. Peter moved into a beautiful new studio which is a designer’s dream come true, his material and workmanship was amazing.  

Spending time with Peter in his office was a real treat, seeing his book collection and how he gets his inspiration is an experience Ariana will always cherish.
Peter added buttons to the back of the dress, subtle jeweled details, a matching shawl for the ceremony and customized shoes from his collection for her. 

Ariana and Eric had a beautiful wedding day in New York City on May 20th 2012, and Ariana was so lucky to wear her dress which had so much meaning for her.

“Thank you Peter and your team for a once in a lifetime experience. Love”. Ariana

 A great success, an amazing day. Ariana and Eric’s joy and happiness was catching!

Goes straight to the heart, Peter Langner. Defying the most convincing and plausible reasons …

REASONS AND SENTIMENTS, the collection that the designer offers to women and brides for the new season, is a tribute to thoughts and emotions which are exceptional yet daily.


Logic and instinct. Lucidity and passion. Body and Soul. Like two halves of the same apple, Reasons and Sentiments are compensated, you seek, you attract. And together they reach the fullness of things. Giving meaning to our lives.

Peter Langner’s 2013 creations tickle the intellect and make emotions fly. Ancestral link to emotions, but familiar, proper to the rite of marriage: common yet unique, because lived fully.

Or … to reasons hidden in the depths of the intellect. 

Subtle provocations that lead to a pause, for once, to leave the daily grind, the true cause of many current maladies.

Thus, “Ragion Pura” (Pure Reason), the quintessential Kantian thought gives way to a “Sensibility“, which refers immediately to the extraordinary pages of Jane Austen.

“Non solo rose e fiori” (Not only are roses and flowers) quotes Peter, as if to say that life always reserves you surprises accepted holding your head high, as a couple. And yet, “Waking up” together, to emphasize the wonderful feeling of everyday, mundane and yet simply beautiful, because it is shared. “Dream come true“, the dream of every bride, “Walking on Clouds“, sparkling feeling of having butterflies in your stomach …

And then … go straight to the purest emotions, even strong and bloody, sublime: Envy, Follia (Madness), Love.

Peter Langner makes us think, with a hint of irony … and, with a coup de coeur, touches the soul. It seduces her.
